I haven’t always had a good relationship with food. For over 20 years I was battling the bulge, eating emotionally and being a serial yo-yo dieter! Honestly, I’ve done every ‘fad’ diet, every workout routine available only to leave me feeling deprived and miserable, and still having a destructive relationship with food.
Sadly, after too many to mention failed attempts, or rather, losing and then gaining even more weight than before each gruelling diet! I even convinced myself that ‘I SHOULD just love myself as I was’ even though my energy was in my boots, I disliked what I saw in the mirror, I was desperately unhappy, I believed I was just a ‘proper foodie’, that I would always be this way. I was on that treadmill of guilt, shame, and misery leaving me feeling a complete failure. I had zero willpower not to mention my self-worth being almost non-existent.
When I started to work as a spiritual healer 18 years ago I quickly developed a great understanding of how the mind can influence our bodies.
Training as a hypnotherapist, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner was a natural progression enabling me to combine all modalities to accelerate all healing transformation, getting to the root cause to help clients to achieve their weight loss success which lead to my clients and I being featured on BBC Radio Lincolnshire and in the local newspapers. I finally achieved my own desired results six years ago of dropping 2.5 stone in only 12 weeks, easily and effortlessly. My relationship with food became a love affair, it became fun, exciting and super easy. My development took me further to training in nutrition and as a gym instructor and I have continued to enjoy helping others to find the same rewarding experience with food.
